The 2nd “Great to Meet You” China-Africa Youth Video Contest, launched by China Media Group’s African Station and Zhejiang University’s College of Media and International Culture, recently announced the winners in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya. After two rounds of evaluation by both Chinese and African judges, three submissions were selected as first-prize winners, six as second-prize winners, ten as third-prize winners and twenty as recipients of the excellent award.
Besides, Professor Fan Zhizhong and Researcher Zhang Yong of our college visited CMG Africa and Xinhua News Agency Africa Regional Bureau, as well as School of Communication at Daystar University in Kenya. During the visit, they engaged in fruitful discussions on various issues including Film and TV, student internship and so on.

Kenya plays a crucial role in international communication between China and Africa. At around the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative, the journey to Kenya holds great importance for our college to enhance the capabilities of global communication and establish partnerships with leading figures.
