CAP’s Call for Special Issue Proposals
Communication and the Public invites scholars to submit their proposals for a Special Issue. The purpose of this Special Issue is to collect articles on a specific topic that the journal has not substantially covered already. As such, the Special Issue could potentially be of great interest to our readers. Communication and the Public is an international peer-reviewed journal that publishes both theoretical and empirical research articles in the broadly defined intersections of communication and the public. In 2022, the Journal has just received its first Impact Factor of 3.6, a very impressive showing. From the 3rd issue of 2023 and on, the Journal will make all published articles available OA immediately thanks to the generous support of Zhejiang University. Recently, a Special Issue is dedicated to The Information Warfare in the Era of Social Media: the Case of the Russian-Ukrainian Crisis, and another one drawing on best student papers from the popular media & culture division of International Communication Association is coming up in December, 2023.
The Journal continues to welcome submissions addressing communication analysis utilizing a range of qualitative and quantitative techniques. We particularly encourage guest editors and authors to contribute their unique thoughts and methods to this Special Issue, which also provides a new vehicle for emerging scholars, with a focus on, but not limited to, graduate students, instructors, postdoctoral scholars, assistant professors, and independent scholars. The Special Issue will once again feature contributions from researchers across the globe. Peer review will be rigorously applied to all articles. Please review the following guidelines for submissions to this Special Issue.
