Communication and the Public invites scholars to submit their proposals for a Special Issue. The purpose of this Special Issue is to collect articles on a specific topic that the journal has not substantially covered already. As such, the Special Issue could potentially be of great interest to our readers. Communication and the Public is an international peer-reviewed journal that publishes both theoretical and empirical research articles in the broadly defined intersections of communication and the public. The journal welcomes submissions that address communication analysis and use a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods. We especially encourage guest editors and authors to contribute their unique thoughts and methods to this Special Issue, which also provides a new vehicle for emerging scholars, with a focus on, but not limited to, graduate students, instructors, postdoctoral scholars, assistant professors, and independent scholars. As usual, the Special Issue will include the international contributions of researchers from different regions. All articles will undergo rigorous peer review. Please review the following guidance for submissions to this Special Issue.
The proposal should include the following:
- A title for the Special Issue
- Rationale of 1 to 2 pages explaining the proposed special issue’s focus, significance, novelty, method, and adherence to the scope of the journal. Proposals for a Special Issue should have a well-articulated and forward-looking idea that could boost the publication of a set of excellent papers.
- A plan and timeline for the preparation of the Special Issue.
- A one-page brief CV of the proposed guest editors, including their names, emails, affiliations, and areas of expertise.
- A list of potential contributors and the titles of their manuscripts for this Special Issue, if applicable.
