HANGZHOU — The General Office of the Ministry of Education has recently announced the lists of the 2019 First Class Undergraduate Majors at the National and Provincial Levels. The Journalism Major of the College of Media and International Culture (CMIC) has been selected as a National First Class Undergraduate Major.
The Journalism Major of the CMIC is one of the earliest journalism programs in China. The Ministry of Education has included it in the Development of Special Disciplines.
Not only does the program focus on strengthening ideological and political education, it also breaks fresh ground in teaching methods by promoting Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), blended learning, and a tutorial system for undergraduates, which altogether contribute to the all-round development of students.
The Journalism Major has always focused on bolstering its staffs and enhancing educational organization. Therefore, the program consistently takes steps for advancement, such as educating outstanding, talented students, optimizing faculty structure, and improving teaching standards.
The Journalism Major of the CMIC will continue to progress on the journey of cultivating experts in journalism and communication who are globally competent and innovative to fit the paradigm of intelligent media.
